Delhi Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday urged the Central Government to provide PPE kits and protective gear to tackle the Covid pandemic in the national capital.

“Due to the Nizamuddin incident and with many foreigners in the capital, the Covid patients have suddenly increased. We urgently need PPE kits,” he said.

He claimed that the number of coronavirus cases stood at 445 in Delhi but the situation was under control and there was no community transmission. There were 40 cases of local transmission.

The CM said the non-ration cardholders must register so that they can start getting free ration soon.

Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia also conducted a live interactive session on ‘Parenting in the Time of Corona’, addressing the capital’s 44 lakh children and their parents. They urged parents to take a positive approach and explain to their children sensitively about the gravity of the situation.
