The OnePlus 7 Pro is right the company's flagship phone and it's getting the best treatment with regards to software support. And just today, the phone is getting another update.

OnePlus is releasing another software update for the OnePlus 7 Pro starting today. The update brings the OnePlus 7 Pro to Oxygen OS 9.5.9 and thereby, brings several improvements and bug fixes. Some of the notable improvements in this update are concerning the system stability, camera performance and delivering the latest security patch.

The Oxygen OS 9.5.9 update focuses on improving the user experience by taking care of the small things. This update notes to improve the touch sensitivity of the display as well as make visual effects smoother than before. The OnePlus 7 Pro had recently developed a snag with the auto-brightness feature and the new update fixes that as well. Other than that, the phone also brings improvements to the haptic feedback and auto-switching of display resolution. GPS accuracy is also said to be improved when the phone is locked.

With this update, OnePlus has also improved the camera performance further. OnePlus says the performance has improved while the user switches from the front camera to the rear. OnePlus has also worked on improving the autofocus performance as well as better photo stitching in the Panorama mode. The camera also gets an improved 48-megapixel mode.

While these are some of the fixes and improvements, the update also brings a couple of new features. The Android Security Patch has been updated to June 2019, which is good for those concerned with the security of the device.

Apart from that, the Face Unlock feature gets a big update that was needed for a long time. The OnePlus 7 Pro relies on its pop-up selfie camera fro Face Unlock. Since the phone launched, OnePlus didn't include the Assistive Lighting feature that has been previously included in older OnePlus models. The Assistive Lighting feature helps the Face Unlock system to work in the dark by flashing the screen with white light. The Oxygen OS 9.5.9 update now brings the Assistive Lighting to OnePlus 7 Pro.

Also, the latest update adds performance improvements for the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 earphones. Users will now be able to experience improved audio performance by going into Sound & Vibration settings and hunt for Earphone Sound Enhancement under Earphone Adjustment.

The Oxygen OS 9.5.9 update weighs 325MB and is available for download as an OTA update.
