Xiaomi will be launching the Redmi K20 series in India very soon. The company has confirmed that the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro India launch may happen around mid-July. Amidst all of this, a new leak suggests that Xiaomi is working on another Redmi phone and it is most likely the Redmi 7 Pro. Having said that the Redmi 7 Pro will be the phone that will succeed last year's Redmi 6 Pro that launched around September last year.
A Redmi phone is spotted on China's 3C authority and rumours suggest that the phone could be the Redmi 7 Pro. The 3C authority website reveals some details about the smartphone. It shows the phone with model number M1906F9SC and a 10W charger. Like the Redmi 6 Pro, the upcoming and the successor device aka Redmi 7 Pro is also expected to be a budget-friendly device.
The Redmi 6 Pro launched in India in the second half of last year for starting price of Rs 10,999 for the base 3GB RAM/32GB storage model. The 4GB/64GB storage variant of the phone was launched for Rs 12,999. Xiaomi has now reduced the price of both the variants of the Redmi 6 Pro. The 3GB RAM model of the Redmi 6 Pro now sells for Rs 8,999 while the 4GB RAM model of the phone comes for Rs 9,999.
Overall, the Redmi 7 Pro is expected to be a better and improved device when compared to the Redmi 6 Pro. To recall, the Redmi 6 Pro was the first notched display phone Xiaomi brought to India. The Redmi 6 Pro comes with a 5.84-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 624 processor paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that can be expanded via microSD card.
On the camera front, the phone includes two cameras on the back and single on the front. The Redmi 6 Pro comes with a 12-megapixel primary camera paired with Sony IMX 486 with 1.25 micron pixels and 5-megapixel camera with Samsung sensor. On the front, the phone comes with a 5-megapixel sensor paired with AI portrait mode. The Redmi 6 Pro comes with a massive 4000mAh battery that can go on for two days.
