Xiaomi announced the launch the for its next brand new affordable Redmi handset. The Chinese giant today revealed that Redmi 8 is debuting in India on 9th October.
Chief Manu Kumar Jain has tweeted that the phone will launch in India next week, and the teaser says that the phone will be a champion in battery. It is also teased to pack a battery more than 4,000mAh capacity, and the teaser also suggests a better camera on the Redmi 8.
The phone also been spotted on Google Play console revealing key specifications as well. Xiaomi launched the Redmi 8A in India and now it is gearing up to launch new affordable Xiaomi Redmi 8.
Redmi 8 was recently spotted on China Telecom's website revealing most of the specification for this device. It will feature a design similar to the Redmi 8A, however with a dual rear camera and a physical fingerprint sensor below it.
Redmi 8 will feature a 6.21-inch waterdrop display with thick bottom bezel that hosts the Redmi branding. It will have a HD+ (720x1520 pixel) resolution display with 320ppi density. The handset powered by the Snapdragon 439 SoC paired with Adreno 505 GPU.
Redmi 8 rumored to bring along with a 12 megapixel primary sensor and 5 megapixel depth sensor for improved portrait photos. There will be an 8MP selfies sensor, with a 5,000mAh battery pack and 18W fast-charging support.
It also features a traditional fingerprint sensor and the Redmi branding. The handset is also expected to run Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top and come in four different color options- Ash, Blue, Green, and Red. And Redmi 8 price in India could also start at Rs. 7,999.
